Ministry Background The FeG (Freie evangelischer Gemeinden) Church in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, is a church very active in their community. With a heavy emphasis on prayer and outreach, it has grown much over the last few years. With their love for the community, church members seek new ways to open their arms to those in the nearby area. In the summer of 2013, the church began a Language Explosion Camp (LEC) to teach young people in the area English in a fun, interactive way. They fundraised money to hire German and American teachers to help with activities and classes in order to have an exciting and interesting experience, and allows […]

Ministry Background Once refugees are granted official recognition, they immediately encounter difficulties in their first steps towards integration. As asylum seekers, they were often in a waiting mode within an official structure. Suddenly they are thrust out on their own, and they must quickly settle in and begin their new lives in Belgium. The transition can be a hard one. Shean aims to facilitate the integration of these legal refugees by offering them short-term housing. We provide them a place where they can gather their strength and courage and prepare to continue on with their lives. Shean also offers a support group and coordinates different networks and resources available to […]

Ministry Background Below the Alpine village of La Rivoire, in a run-down house without running water, GEM’s first French youth camp was held in 1967. In 1969, other buildings in La Rivoire became available and the purchase of the Camp Des Cimes was finalized. Young Christians from across Europe and the United States then came together to restore the 200 year-old buildings. Hard-working and ambitious, these young adults sheltered in a barn which had neither electricity nor running water, sleeping in the hay. Together they turned what had been a farmhouse, a bakery, and a small school into a functioning camp building. In 1984, construction of a new building (The […]

Ministry Background Europeans love camping! Camps have proven a very effective place for them to hear the Gospel and respond in a positive way. In early 2003, a group of Balkan Pastors and church planters purchased a property in the eastern Balkan region, with the desire to develop a year-round camp for youth and families. The 18-acre site has a small building, an open field, a plum orchard, and is bordered by the cool refreshing Timok River. Outdoor camps are already being held on site, but assistance is needed to bring the property up to standard.  In a country with less than 0.2% claiming to be active followers of Jesus Christ, […]

Ministry Background The Greek Bible College, founded by Greater Europe Mission in 1973 in the town of Pikermi, is located right on the course of the original marathon run 2505 years ago. Situated between Athens and Marathon, where the Greeks defeated Darius and the Persian Army, the school is one of a kind – the only full time, interdenominational Bible College in Greece. The current property was built for the school in the early 1990s, with dormitories, library, classroom, and chapel on a pleasant, leafy campus. All classes at the school are taught in Greek, training Greek-speaking believers to be pastors, missionaries, and productive Christians. Many of GBI’s graduates are […]

Ministry Background In the 1970’s, a group of Baptist churches in the Toulon/Marseilles area of France started a camping ministry, to minister to the many urban kids in the area. They began by renting facilities in the French Riviera, and were later able to purchase a 20-acre property (formerly owned by a professional soccer team). The property was originally a hotel (built just before WWI), used by pilgrims visiting a local shrine. With its rugged mountain setting, sports facilities and rural location, it provides a great get away for the youth in the southern France region. This area is the principle entrance for Northern Africans into France. During the summer, […]
